This research is action research that the purpose to increase creativity,
emotional, activity and achievement of K3LH student mechanical engineering
department at SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta through the application of
cooperative learning type group investigation.
The research carried out in two cycles, using kemmis and taggart procedure.
Action research of kemmis and taggart using four step in one cycle: plan-actionobserve-
reflect. Collecting data was conducted by observation sheets and written test.
Analysis technique was descriptive-quantitative. Data analysis is done by describing
the percentage of the quantitative data obtained.
The results of the research show that can be increase creativity, emotional,
activity and achievement. Results of observation to creativity score 74%, 80% of
emotional and 79% of activity, and the results obtained observations of students
already have the assessment criteria, which have reached a value of 3 (good) and 4
(very good) with an average score has been reached more than 70%. While improving
student learning achievement during the first cycle and second cycle produces good
improvement. Average score on cycle I get score of 70,66 and on cycle II get score of
82,26, so the increase between the first cycle and second cycle reaches 11,6 or 30%.
How to increase creativity, emotional, active and learning achievement is conducting
discussions in groups to plan an idea that will be realized to the other groups by
combining the knowledge, research and action.
